0. THE SUBSCRIPTION OF MACBUSINESSSUITE — APP-SPECIFIC NOTICE
- One product.
MacBusinessSuiteoffers exactly one subscription: an auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks the whole app. There is no monthly plan and no one-time purchase. - Free first month. Where the App Store grants it, the first month is free; the paywall shows the trial only when the store actually offers it to you, and the button names the payment that follows. The subscription converts to a paid annual subscription at the end of the free month unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Price. The annual price shown on the paywall is the price the App Store charges in your storefront currency, including applicable taxes.
- Store.
MacBusinessSuiteis sold exclusively through the Apple Mac App Store. §§ 6.2 and 9 (Google Play) describe a channel that does not exist for this app. - Cancelling on a Mac. Open the App Store app, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Account Settings, then Manage next to Subscriptions, select
MacBusinessSuiteand click Cancel Subscription — or use https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. The app’s Settings → Legal & Privacy → Subscription opens that page in one click. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. - After expiry. When the subscription ends,
MacBusinessSuitekeeps your existing data readable and exportable; creating and editing require an active subscription. - Seller. Who sells the subscription depends on your country (§ 2 and the Legal Framework Overview § 3).
1. SCOPE
These Subscription Terms apply to all paid subscriptions to MacBusinessSuite and other DigitalFreedom apps and services. They supplement the Terms of Service and EULA. In the event of conflict, the order of precedence in the Legal Framework Overview applies.
The Services are distributed via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store and are therefore available in every country and territory those platforms serve. These terms apply globally, with mandatory local consumer-protection rights prevailing wherever they are more protective.
2. WHO YOU CONTRACT WITH
- Subscription content and service delivery: DigitalFreedom Global LLC (DigitalFreedom)
- Seller for subscriptions purchased through the App Store: Apple Distribution International Ltd. in the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland and Türkiye, where Apple sells in its own name; DigitalFreedom Global LLC everywhere else, where Apple acts as our agent. Apple processes the payment in both cases.
- Seller for subscriptions purchased through Google Play: DigitalFreedom Global LLC, unless the Google Play terms for your market name a Google entity as the seller — in which case that entity. In either case Google processes the payment through Google Play’s billing system.
- Refunds, invoices and dispute handling for the payment transaction follow the platform’s process; where DigitalFreedom is the seller, your statutory rights against us remain unaffected by it
3. AUTO-RENEWAL DISCLOSURE
All paid subscriptions to DigitalFreedom apps are auto-renewing unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You must be informed of, and acknowledge, the following before purchase:
- the subscription title and content of the subscription
- the price per renewal period (per month / per year)
- the renewal period (monthly / annual / other)
- the fact that the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period
- the fact that payment is charged to the platform account (Apple ID / Google Account) at the start of each renewal period
- the fact that the subscription can be cancelled at any time before the next renewal date with no early-termination fee
- the location of cancellation controls
This disclosure appears on the in-app paywall before the purchase confirmation step and is accepted explicitly.
4. PRICING
- Prices are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase, including any applicable VAT / sales tax / GST
- Prices may change with future renewals. The store notifies you in advance under its own rules and gives you the opportunity to accept or to cancel before the change takes effect. We do not restate the platforms’ notice periods here: they are set by Apple and Google, they differ between them, and they change — a figure printed in this document would be wrong the moment either of them adjusts it.
- Promotional prices and discounts apply only to the specified period; renewals revert to the standard price unless stated otherwise
5. FREE TRIALS
Where a free trial is offered:
- The trial duration is shown clearly before purchase
- The trial converts automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial end (Apple) or before the trial end (Google)
- The credit-card / platform-account is charged immediately at conversion
- Where a trial is offered, only one trial per Apple ID / Google Account per app per lifetime is granted, unless explicitly extended by us
6. CANCELLATION — WHERE AND HOW
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current paid period continues until its end and remains available to you.

7. EU RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (CONSUMERS)
Consumers in the EU / EEA have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content / digital services purchases under the Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and the Digital Content Directive ((EU) 2019/770).
When the right lapses — and when it does not. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, § 356(6) no. 2 BGB lets the right of withdrawal lapse only where all four of the following are met:
- (a) performance of the contract has begun;
- (b) you expressly consented to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends;
- (c) you confirmed your knowledge that, by that consent, the right of withdrawal lapses when performance begins; and
- (d) the trader provided you with a confirmation of the contract in accordance with § 312f BGB.
If any one of them is missing, the right of withdrawal survives. It then ends at the latest twelve months and 14 days after the point set out in § 356(4) sentence 1 BGB.
Where to exercise it. Against the seller of your purchase. Who that is depends on your country and store — see the Legal Framework Overview § 3. Where a store is the seller, its own withdrawal process applies. Where DigitalFreedom Global LLC is the seller, write to support@digitalfreedom.co.za with the subject Withdrawal — MacBusinessSuite subscription; we confirm receipt and refund within 14 days of receiving the notice.
8. CALIFORNIA AUTOMATIC RENEWAL LAW (ARL)
For California residents, the California Automatic Renewal Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 17600 et seq.) requires:
- clear and conspicuous disclosure of the auto-renewal terms (see § 3 above)
- affirmative consent to those terms before charging (the in-app purchase flow satisfies this)
- an acknowledgement of the cancellation policy (this document)
- an online cancellation mechanism (see § 6 above)
- a reminder, which since AB 2863 took effect on 1 July 2025 is no longer discretionary: Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 17601 and 17602 as amended require a renewal reminder at least annually for a subscription of a year or longer, and before the first charge where a free trial converts. The store’s own renewal notice does not automatically discharge this — whether it does is a question about that notice’s content and timing, not an assumption to make in a legal text.
9. REFUNDS
Refund policies depend on the channel:
| Channel | Refund authority |
|---|---|
| Apple App Store | Apple — request via https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides at its sole discretion. |
| Google Play | Request via https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory, or from us directly — we can refund Google Play orders for our own products ourselves. Where DigitalFreedom is the seller, statutory refund rights run against us and are not subject to Google’s discretion. |
We cannot reverse a charge made by Apple — App Store refunds must go through Apple’s flow. Google Play charges we can refund ourselves.
10. CHILDREN
Subscriptions may be purchased only by users who have reached the minimum age required by the applicable platform terms and by the Terms of Service (typically 16 in EU / EEA, 13 in US). Where children make purchases without authorisation, parents can request a refund through the relevant store.
11. CHANGES TO SUBSCRIPTION TERMS
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. Material changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance; if you do not accept, you may cancel per § 6.
