MacBusinessSuite and Harvest compared
Harvest is a cloud service for time tracking with invoices from tracked time, used in the browser, on the desktop and on phones. It hands accounting to QuickBooks Online or Xero and team scheduling to a separate product, Harvest Forecast. MacBusinessSuite combines time tracking and invoicing with projects, a CRM, payments and tax exports in one native Mac app with local data.

Questions and answers
Is MacBusinessSuite a Harvest alternative?
For a freelancer or small team working on one Mac, yes. It tracks time, turns hours into invoices and adds projects, CRM and bank import. For a team that tracks time on many devices and works with QuickBooks or Xero, Harvest fits better.
Do I need an account to use Harvest on the Mac?
Yes. The Harvest for Mac listing states that the app requires a Harvest account. MacBusinessSuite works without an account and keeps data on the Mac.
Does MacBusinessSuite connect to QuickBooks or Xero?
No. MacBusinessSuite exports a CSV journal, DATEV batches and a package for your tax adviser, but has no direct connection to QuickBooks or Xero.
