MacBusinessSuite and Daylite compared

Daylite by Marketcircle is a native CRM for Mac, iPhone and iPad with contacts, a sales pipeline, built-in mail and projects, synced through Daylite's servers. Time tracking and invoicing are not documented as Daylite features; for those, Marketcircle's App Store listing names its separate app Billings Pro. MacBusinessSuite puts CRM, projects, time tracking and invoicing into one Mac app and keeps the data on your Mac.

  • For time tracking and invoicing, Marketcircle's App Store listing names its separate app Billings Pro, which according to its own help center has no new features planned.

Questions and answers

Is MacBusinessSuite a Daylite alternative?

For a single user or a small team on one Mac, yes. It covers CRM, pipeline, mail and projects like Daylite and adds time tracking and invoicing. For a team that needs synced data on Mac, iPhone and iPad, Daylite fits better, because MacBusinessSuite has no sync.

Can Daylite write invoices?

Invoicing is not documented as a Daylite feature. Marketcircle's App Store listing names its separate app Billings Pro for time tracking and invoicing.

Where does Daylite store my data?

Daylite syncs through its own servers and also works offline. According to its pricing page, data stays on Daylite's servers for six months after a cancellation. MacBusinessSuite stores data only on your Mac.
